Forest Bathing
with Angela “Frankie” Entzel and Jen Snider
Forest bathing, known in Japan as shinrin-yoku, is a slow, guided walk in the woods focused on presence, not distance. We’ll move gently through the land, pausing to notice what’s around us through sight, sound, touch, and smell. There’s no hiking pace, no phones, and no pressure to talk. Just time to breathe, listen, and reconnect with the more-than-human world.
The practice of shinrin-yoku grew out of research and cultural traditions that recognize how time in forests can support our well-being — physically, mentally, and emotionally. You’ll leave with simple ways to bring this kind of mindful time outdoors into your everyday life, whether in the woods, your yard, or a nearby park.
This class is also a great fit for people who support others, from kids to elders, from colleagues to clients. Nature is a wonderful partner in support.
