Candlemaking & Aromatherapy

with Kimberly Patchen

Join certified aromatherapist, Kimberly Patchen, for a fun-filled, hands-on workshop exploring the ancient craft of candle making and the art of aromatherapy to design your own candle for healing.

Candles have a long tradition of shining light into the darkness; from providing light for our homes to warming our hearts in ceremony and ritual. Today, we often enjoy candles for their scent, and because the candle industry is largely unregulated, it’s important to understand the safety of ingredients so you can make eco-conscious and health-conscious candle choices.

In this workshop, we will take a journey through the history of candle making by crafting various types of candles to take home and enjoy like tapers, pillars, votives, and melts. We’ll discuss the ingredients used in candle making, how to use different techniques, and explore blending with intention for various purposes.

We will also discuss the ancient art of aromatherapy, learning about the oils, how to shop for quality, empowering you to make environmentally friendly choices, as well as how to enjoy them for their healing benefits, whether in candles, diffusion, bathing, compress, etc.

You’ll gain the knowledge and experience needed to make clean-burning candles, achieve a long burn time, and best of all, infuse them with therapeutic-quality essential oil blends.

Come curious and ready to play. Leave with a variety of candle creations, including your own custom-blended candle for healing. All materials are provided. Reserve your candle kit today and let your senses lead the way!
