Deep River Folk School

Hands-on workshops
for resilient, sustainable living

At Deep River Folk School, we believe that learning with your hands, being outdoors, sharing lunch—and simply being together—are more than nice extras. They are essential. In an era when meaningful connection is harder to find, these experiences matter deeply.

Responding to the many challenges facing people in the 21st Century, the Deep River Folk School provides a space to learn and share ideas, skills, and tools for long-term sustainable, resilient living. Deep River Folk School is a partnership between Sustenance Farm and the non-profit Living Well Earth Stewards, and focuses on five main topic areas: Food, Shelter, Essential Skills, Understanding Nature & Community Building.

Stay for lunch!

Lunch is included for all of our Saturday workshops!

A key part of the Folk School is community, and sharing a meal is one of the best ways we know of to get to know one another and build community.
