This workshop is part of The Fiber Weekend, and is not intended to be purchased individually. We encourage you to, instead, purchase a Full Weekend Pass ($375) or a 1-Day Pass ($210) for Fiber Weekend. Once you’ve purchased a pass, you’ll be able to register for the workshops you plan to attend during Fiber Weekend.


Fiber Weekend: Raising Sheep for Fiber

  • This workshop is not eligible for use with a Deep River Folk School season pass.

  • Overnight Camping available for $20

  • The workshops cover knowledge and hands-on experience.

  • Youth, under 18, may not attend free with an adult. Instead, they should be registered independently.

Instructor: Ociane Canadas

Oci is a knitter and spinner. She has been a fiber artist for thirteen years. She teaches classes locally. She owns Happy Monkey Farm where she raises Gotland, Merino and CVM sheep. Oci is passionate about shearing her own sheep and spinning homegrown wools. She sells fleeces and hand-spun yarns.
