Carpentry for Newbies:
3 day workshop (with optional 4th day)
Instructor: Harvey Harman & Others
Led by Small and Tiny House Builder Harvey Harman and others, this workshop is for folks who have minimal prior experience with carpentry or building. Using a series of hands-on projects, participants learn basic carpentry skills they can put to use immediately. The class is 3 days long (Friday--Sunday, with an additional optional 4th day to work on additional hands-on projects). We will cover basic skills, knowledge, and tools needed to build everything from bookshelves to decks. Students are required to bring a few hand tools to the workshop (a list of required hand tools will be supplied to all participants). This workshop takes the mystery out of carpentry and allows you to successfully tackle basic carpentry projects. $400 per workshop. Scholarships and work-trade options are available.
